A Tradeshow for Tradeshow people

Last week I attended the Exhibitor Conference in Las Vegas. Hosted by Exhibitor Online, this conference brings in a few thousand professionals from all industries to talk about best practices, network, and all things tradeshow. Over 160 sessions covering topics from marketing integration, ROI, freight/transportation, social media to a packed exhibit hall featuring the latest technology. I was inspired (still am)

I only attended 5 sessions, two of which were my absolute favorite.
  • M623: Best of the Best: Takeaways and Best Practices from Award-Winning Exhibits, Events, and Experiences presentd by Travis Stanton
  • T703: Insider's Guide to Exhibiting in the APAC Region by Chris Dorn
Both were super interesting and engaging. Objectives were on point and expectations were met.
Let's talk about exhibit favorites

GES - ahmazing! They had William Close from America'as Got Talent come and perform his Earth Harp. They had these huge LED HD seamless monitors. Going with the art & science theme, they totally nailed it. See some of their highlights.

Steelhead Productions  - all about the details and overall look. They do leave a lasting impression and i love love their concept. Last year they had a DIY peanut butter jelly sandwich station with cute lunch boxes and branded recyclable knives. And their follow up mail grams are incredible. Their booth this year was one of my all time favorites, i think i stopped by multiple times. It was a two story booth with an interactive game, lounge area, fortune teller, and vintage chandeliers.

Spoon Exhibits & Events  - i love when there's a theme and when it's executed flawlessly. Never heard of Spoon before but sure glad I met them this year. Theme: Water. They had waterbottles in every attendee's bag, water stations in the meeting rooms, a waterfall in their booth, and an interactive activity for charity contribution to parts of the world in need of clean water. I almost forgot they had a VIP event at the Mandalay's shark exhibit with helicopter rides to view the strip.

Other favorites: Derse and their exhibit box that created quite the buzz on the floor and Freeman for their innovating motion sensor game.
